  • Thors comment

"This box-like design with straight sides is one of my first designs and that I prefer for most of my own trees. The blue and greens in the glaze also makes it very versatile since those colours suits all spieces of trees. The pot also have a nice detail with the human faces behind the feets that has the wireholes as eyes."

About the edition "Hard & Dry”

"This month I have mainly made unglazed pots for conifers while all over it has been worrying and troublesome news. My father's words, and life mantra - Life is hard and dry, has come to mind and been more truthfull then ever. I know that for him it has meant “Get used to “hard and dry” and learn that life don't put cream and sugar on top of things.” It applies not only to work but also food, relationships and ethics. All aspects of life. For me it has changed meaning through the years though, and I would today put another meaning to it then my father Berndt Thor does: “As long as the clay is soft you can alter and change your mind on where you want to go. But once you made up your mind, and fired it - it becomes hard and dry. Just like your life choices. Or to use bonsai talk, once you cut that branch of there is no turning back, only new options. So folks, let me present the collection “Hard and dry”, or as my father would say: "Horrt å torrt.
