  • Thors comment

"One of my oldest, and favourite glazes, that never turns out the exactly same for each firing. I am still trying to master it and this is close to where I like to go with it. It is inspired by the japanese potter Heian Tofukuji who in turn was inspired by the older chinese glazes. It ages with beauty due to its fine crazings in the glaze. Some people colour glaze cracks like this with ink to make it look older. I prefer if it comes naturally with time, but it is certainly an option if you can not wait for it to appear."

  • About this edition

THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme.

    About the edition "Blue Hours”
"This edition is named after that phenomen that when it is neither day or night, in the twilight when you can see the blue light of space arraying through. "Blå timmen." Blue is dominant up here in the north now. Days are quickly getting shorter. Flowers are long gone and green is the only colour that accompanies the blue sky and ocean. So glazes I used pulls from deep ocean cobalt, to beach turquoise, cloudy sky to classical oribe, geen and yellows. All on clean shapes that has provided me with a canvas. I hope you enjoy this labour of love."
