"One of the new "Borg" design pots in this edition wich none are in the same size or shape. My thought with this design is to give the tree a pot that arrays strength and that has a connection to the european and scandinavian culture sphere, inspired by the medeival castles, but still with one foot in the japanese tradition."

About the edition "Borg”
"As a bonsai potter I am strongly influenced by the japanse shapes and forms that originally derives from the buddhist temple and it´s surroundings. But even if I understand the idea of a holy abode for the pot from a buddhist perspective, I do not have the same cultural connection to it. So therefore I have, since I started with bonsai pottery, searched for something of that value in the european and scandinavian culture sphere. It has lead me through both aerodynamics and space, roman and renaissance furniture to rough natural and norse carvings. But instead of a pot that arrays serenity and becomes a sanctuary for the tree, I wanted to try something that gave a feeling of strength and rough grace. As a man of forged iron, chiseled rock and axed woodwork I decided to go for another idea. So in this edition I have explored the native medeival castles and fortresses. It has been my intention to keep one foot still in the japanese forms, that make out the foundation and historical roots of all bonsai pottery, and I hope that shines through. Personally I like the whole idea of the pot beeing a stronghold that protects the living tree, without stealing to much attention from it. I have named this new style "Borg" wich means fortified castle in swedish. So I dare you with moving the "Tower" from the back of the chessboard..."
