Thors comment
"I was a bit surprised when I took this pot out of the kiln. The normally cream white glaze had got a bit of a purple tone in it, due to the properties of the grey clay it was applied on. It just shows the endless results of different factors in the art of glazing."
About this edition
THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme.
"The name of this edition - God Jul, translates to "Great Wheel" from swedish. It is the the yearly celebration when midwinter occurs and when the wheels are turning and pass the gone year into the shadows. It is that magical moment when life and death walk hand in hand. In the old days sacrificed animals and men where hanged in the evergreen holy tree, and their blood was spilled in the white snow. So this edition contains the traditional Jul colours. Green as the tree, red as the blood, white as the snow and black as the darkest night."
