Thors comment
"It goes several attempts/failures to make a pot like this. There is much that has to click when you are working with this miniature size. But I think it all came together really nicely on this piece. There is a differens when it is the natural smoke from the fire that gives the color, and not ink applied to fill up the crazings in the glaze. You can see how the tar has eaten itself in under the glaze and crawled into the white clay body. As you can see it is marked "lowfire". It means that it is only suitable for tropicals or indoor bonsai since it is not frost resistant. It is fired at a low temperature raku firing wich gives the glaze the crazings and the nice effects."
About this edition
THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme.
"The skulls are a theme I keep on returning to and that I have a lot to thank for. So this month I just let myself go with the skulls and how many styles I could explore and express them in. I sure got the Skullymylitis, and I hope you catch it to."
