  • Thors comment

"This design is inspired by all the castles that adorn the Swedish west coast from Denmark in the south to Norway in the north. I call the design "Borg", which means fortress in Swedish, and it saw the light of day last summer when I thought about how I could integrate something Nordic medieval in the classic Asian pot design. I also like the idea that the pot is a stronghold that protects and acts as home to a significant tree."

THOR´S COMMENT ABOUT THE EDITION - "Castle by the sea"

"Along the Swedish and Norwegian west coast, we have many stone castles from the Middle Ages that watch over narrow straits, brood inside the deep bays, or stand far out on skerries and headlands where they are whipped by the wild Atlantic. Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by its massive walls and how they seem to merge with the bedrock they stand on, filled with narrow dark passages and dungeons. A year ago, I came up with the idea for a pot design that could integrate these castles, I named it "Borg". This summer I returned to that same theme again, but this time I include the blue sea and the waterways the castles watch over. To Marstrand, Älvsborg, Halden, Varberg, Bohus and Ragnhildsholmen. May you stand guard for another thousand of years to come."
