Thors comment
"It is with sadness in my heart that I say goodbye to this, one of my first pots I made back in 2008. Stamped on the inside with "Kristian Holvila" - my middle name and the one I used at the beginning of my career. I have marked it" B27" with chalk on the inside which means it is no.27 counting from the first pot ever made. During my first years as a bonsai potter I focused not on selling, but to produce different models and glazes that later on became my trademarks. This has not been repeated though. I called it "Rink" because of its strongly rounded corners and inward-sloping walls. The glaze, which took on a tone of oxblood, I have never quite succeeded in recreating. Whether this is a collector's item, I will leave to you and the future to decide. However, I hope it ends up with someone who treasures it."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - STRAIGHT UP
” In the beginning of this month, when I was once again finding myself in the studio to start the work with the next edition, Sweden was struck by a heat wave. This made me spend more time inside four walls than normal at this time of year. Perhaps this influenced me in the decision to focus on straight lines, wich for me means a lack of lips and sculpture and has nothing to do with rulers. When it was time to glaze, I was hit by Covid, which made me work slower and more thoughtfully with the application and expression. This edition is therefore a sign of the times for me, and the need to move forward, straight up.”
