"When I started making bonsai pots, I worked a lot with black and white. It has long been a wish to return to some of those ideas, which I did with this pot. It is my thought to reflect mountains, snow and winter with this glaze decor."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - STRAIGHT UP

” In the beginning of this month, when I was once again finding myself in the studio to start the work with the next edition, Sweden was struck by a heat wave. This made me spend more time inside four walls than normal at this time of year. Perhaps this influenced me in the decision to focus on straight lines, wich for me means a lack of lips and sculpture and has nothing to do with rulers. When it was time to glaze, I was hit by Covid, which made me work slower and more thoughtfully with the application and expression. This edition is therefore a sign of the times for me, and the need to move forward, straight up.”
