Thor Holvila 2311-02
Thors comment:
"I have used replicas of Viking Age silver coins on this visually heavy rectangle in pitch black clay, polished and unglazed. On the other side there is a faint pattern in brown glaze applied that reflects the crown of the tree and gives your composition greater depth."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - JULETID
"We are now entering Juletid (Time for Jule), the darkest days of the year. Before Christianity came to Sweden, Jul was celebrated at midwinter and people sacrificed to house elves and locked themselves up to keep the forces of darkness out. Winter and darkness would be appeased so that warmth and light could return and people would keep the hope and faith alive that light would return, it was important to look forward. The Bible tells of Lot's wife who cannot let go of the past and is turned to stone when she looks back to see her city getting destroyed by the angels. Clinging to the past and not looking forward destroys hope, so carry the hope of a brighter future in your heart during these dark times and let's celebrate Juletid."
