Thor Holvila 2405-08

Thors comment:

"This pot, which is hollowed out of one block of clay, I chose to glaze on the inside as it became very rough with small cavitys. Unfortunately, the glaze blocked two wiring holes in one corner, but that should not be a problem as there are plenty of holes to anchor the tree with. There is a lot happening on the surface in terms of color that is difficult to reproduce in a photo. It is perceived irl as reddish-brown in tone with splashes of violet. A more coarse pot than this is hard to find and I chose to sculpt my trademark "Four kings" around the wiring holes to give it an extra touch."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - Straight Up
"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
