Thor Holvila 2405-12

Thors comment:

"Here comes an absolute treasure from the vaults, once rejected due to it's thick walls. I was hard on myself in the beginning, today I don't consider this as a "flaw", but as a grower you should have in mind that it is not as super thin as my work of today. I love the glazing! This was a theme I worked with when i started back in 2008, a series of pots with blistering snow over a desolate dark winter landscape. The design, with strongly rounded corners and inward-sloping walls, I called "Rink" after the shape of the ice hockey rink."

  • About this edition

THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme

"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
