Thor Holvila 2405-13

Thors comment:

"This pot, cut from a block of clay, is made in one of my favorite clays, the Swedish Fyle clay, which is very similar to the clay I worked with in Tokoname. Unfortunately, the last local of it has been excavated and the clay is no longer available. It takes a little bit of effort to sell this unique pot from 2017, marked with Thor in runes under my chop. The glaze is a subdued blue-green with splashes of metallic gray."

  • About this edition

THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme

"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
