Thor Holvila 2405-15

Thors comment:

"This rough little pot, cut from one block of clay, is from 2016 when I was still numbering the pots (this one has number 763, counting from the start 2008). It was rejected and ended up in a box in the loft as it had a hair-thin crack through the bottom. I have now fixed it and filled it with glaze, which is visible in the pictures. The glaze is bubbly and boiling and goes in a distinctive brown tone."

  • About this edition

THOR EDITIONS is handmade, unique and numbered pots that are released once a month under a dedicated theme

"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
