"This is perhaps one of the most anonymous of all the pots in this edition. But I love the matte finish, which has a feel of patina, and the bubbles that formed when the glaze cooked. A lovely little jewel sitting quietly there, at the back of the classroom."

"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
