Thors comment:

"To round out this edition, I released this black beast from my private collection (from 2015) in a black clay, which is unfortunately no longer available from the Danish supplier. It is draped in a bronze/gold glaze that found its way into the inprinted pattern from a old crocheted tablecloth that has been given a new use. There is a lack of detail as I wanted to create something that felt like a sea monster coming up and twisting at the surface of the sea."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - "Sea Serpent"

"To live on the Swedish west coast, with the North Sea as a neighbour, is to be surrounded by blue sea and blue sky. On summer days like these, when you jump from the pink shimmering rocks into the salty endless sea, you can't help but be influenced by the blue vastness that is surrounding you. The Sea Serpent in north mythology (let´s not mention his real name) that is chasing its own tail in the depths of the sea has been the theme for this month. I remember how Thor the thundergod once set out to fish out the beast from the depth to interrupt its cycle, but failed. We learn that no one can stop the eternal movement of the universe. Ragnarök is not the end of times. It is the beginning of something new."
