Thor Holvila 2504-03

Thors comment:

"When I was on a pilgrimage from the monastery in Varnhem, up the spruce-covered slopes of Billingen, two ravens followed us from a distance. Every now and then I saw them against the clear blue sky, cawing in chorus. One can't help but think of Hugin and Munin, the all-seeing, all-hearing ravens of Norse mythology. Made in the natural Fyle clay from Sweden with a beautyfull glaze effect of ash from the fire pit."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - Ruins & Cherry Blossoms

"In early April, I made a pilgrimage walk between the monastery ruins in Varnhem all the way to the monastery in Gudhem. The path was lined with traces of my ancestors. The 5,000-year-old burial grounds at Ekornavallen, King Inge the Elder's 1,000-year-old grave at Hånger, the battlefields at Faris and the grassy ruins of the city of Sätuna. The raven followed me, but so did also the exuberant cherry trees in full bloom that lined my path. My fascination of the short-lived flowers of the fruit trees in contrast to the "eternal" stone monuments gave me the inspiration for this edition. And will continue to influence me for a long time to come."
