Thor Holvila 2504-04

Thors comment:

"I wanted to make a castle-like low pot with simple characteristic features from all the stone bridges we walked over on our pilgrimage from Varnhem to Gudhem Abbey. Made in the wonderful Swedish natural clay from Fyle, the ash from the fireplace has created a natural glaze on half the pot."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - Ruins & Cherry Blossoms

"In early April, I made a pilgrimage walk between the monastery ruins in Varnhem all the way to the monastery in Gudhem. The path was lined with traces of my ancestors. The 5,000-year-old burial grounds at Ekornavallen, King Inge the Elder's 1,000-year-old grave at Hånger, the battlefields at Faris and the grassy ruins of the city of Sätuna. The raven followed me, but so did also the exuberant cherry trees in full bloom that lined my path. My fascination of the short-lived flowers of the fruit trees in contrast to the "eternal" stone monuments gave me the inspiration for this edition. And will continue to influence me for a long time to come."
