Thor Holvila 2504-07
Thors comment:
"I received this turned round pot in a dark black clay from Carina in our collaboration as UTBY kiln. I chose to add rock-like, claw-like standing legs that drastically broke with Carina's soft lines. I believe it is the first of several upcoming pots with this theme."
*Stamped with UTBY kiln and both of our stamps to mark my and Carina Jern's collaboration

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - Ruins & Cherry Blossoms
"In early April, I made a pilgrimage walk between the monastery ruins in Varnhem all the way to the monastery in Gudhem. The path was lined with traces of my ancestors. The 5,000-year-old burial grounds at Ekornavallen, King Inge the Elder's 1,000-year-old grave at Hånger, the battlefields at Faris and the grassy ruins of the city of Sätuna. The raven followed me, but so did also the exuberant cherry trees in full bloom that lined my path. My fascination of the short-lived flowers of the fruit trees in contrast to the "eternal" stone monuments gave me the inspiration for this edition. And will continue to influence me for a long time to come."
