Thor Holvila 2603-02
Thors comment:
"I have planed the shape of this pot with a coarse rasp, leaving deep grooves on its surface. Normally I would have left it unglazed, but to make it easy to keep clean I chose to cover it with a protective layer of transparent glass glaze. Under that layer I painted pink flowers on a black branch with rough strokes. I think this shape of pot, which resembles a table, could support a tall forest of young, slender and flowering trees? But also an aged azalea could look great in it?”

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - ”Spring”
”Yellow, purple, green and pink spots have appeared in the brown dead grass of last year and flowers are sprouting from buds on bare branches and are outlined against the light blue sky. Our clocks have been changed to summer time and the days are long enough to start spending time with neighbors and friends outdoors. The Scandinavian spring is here and it is reflected in this edition. The graphic sheet I made contains my ideas. As you can see, a few pots made the journey from the desk to finished pieces.”
