Thor Holvila 2603-07
Thors comment:
"A sturdy oval, made of coarse clay with a decoration depicting apple blossoms on branches that turned out only red, as the brown oxide color it was painted next to was burned away in the firing for some reason, but can be vaguely seen if you examine the pot closely. Strong contrast colors, that will dull of with time when the oxidation of the transparent glaze happens. This pot will age with beauty.”

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - ”Spring”
”Yellow, purple, green and pink spots have appeared in the brown dead grass of last year and flowers are sprouting from buds on bare branches and are outlined against the light blue sky. Our clocks have been changed to summer time and the days are long enough to start spending time with neighbors and friends outdoors. The Scandinavian spring is here and it is reflected in this edition. The graphic sheet I made contains my ideas. As you can see, a few pots made the journey from the desk to finished pieces.”
