Thor Holvila 2608-03
Thors comment:
"This design of pot was included in the previous "Hill and Gully" edition and became in demand as it sold very quickly. This version, in coarse red clay has a stroke of black manganese oxide along one front and stands on four hand-sculpted feet. I must say that I like this design which has both primitive elegance over it and a feeling that it lifts, elevating and floating above the table.”

released on sunday the 30th of August 2026Thor´s comment on the edition: "HILLSIDE"
”That I have a past as a cartoonist can almost be sensed in this collection of arching pots. It is a continuation of a previous edition “Hill and Gully” which was a first attempt to create pots that tried to imitate hills and valleys to plant mainly forest plantations in. I felt and still feel that I want to delve even more into this concept and have lots of ideas for the future of this design. These pots place completely different demands on tools and new techniques as “breaks” in the shape of a pot easily create tensions that can cause cracks. This time I had to discard a few due to that, but the lessons learned from this are the driving force for new progress and challenges. Several of the smaller pots have been decorated, also a new technique that I developed during my participation in graphic printing courses that I have taken over the past year. In other words, an exciting and progressive edition that tickled my senses, I hope it tickles yours as well and bring some of my inspiration to your table for your future constellations.”
